Q: What kind of services does Mr. Butler do?

A: Mr. Butler primary services includes food/take out delivery, grocery shopping, small parcel delivery, unexpected emergencies and special deliveries (such as birthday cakes).

Q:  How does each of the service work?

FOOD Delivery – We pick up your take out order from any of the restaurants within the Anchorage area and this includes fast food restaurants or fine dining.  Upon pick up, we will verify your items base on the restaurant’s order ticket/receipts to ensure that all items are there. We will not open each food item for sanitation purposes. However, we will count the number of items and check the labels of the food item (if available) based upon your order ticket.  We are not liable for mistakes made between you and the restaurant. 

GROCERY shopping/delivery – We do the shopping for you and deliver the items to your home or work, whichever you prefer.  Since we all have different taste, please be specific on each of the items. This includes product name brands, size, etc. (ex. Kraft – Mac and Cheese 6 oz box). Your grocery shopping request will fall into 2 categories, Express (15 items or less) and Full (16 items and above).  For Express orders we need at least 2 hours advance notice and for Full orders we need at least 48 hours advance notice due to time restrictions.

For Grocery orders (Bill $100 or more) We charge 20% from the overall total.

SMALL PARCELS – We drop off the packages for you to the post office, UPS, Fed-Ex, or another office/home within the Anchorage area. However there is a limit of 5 items and each item cannot weigh more than 25 lbs.

* Hazardous Materials, or any Illegal substance are prohibited. All packages/mails must be stamped and ready for shipping.

SPECIAL DELIVERY – We will pick up and deliver items such as birthday cakes, flowers or gifts. This is a case by case only as well. Contact the office for details.

Q: Can I combine items from different restaurants on one order?

A: Absolutely. However, separate fees do apply. Since the orders are from different locations, delivery times may vary, with traffic and weather considerations.

Q: Should I tip the driver who delivers?

A: First of all, thank you for asking and yes! The service fee is not retained by your driver.  These fees are what keep Mr. Butler up and running. Your tips represent a significant portion of your driver’s income - enabling them to pay for fuel and service to their vehicles. A fair gratuity is always appreciated, and 15% is considered the norm for good service. You can choose to add a tip when you place an order, or simply give it to your driver when your delivery arrives. 
If at any time you feel you did not receive service worthy of a tip, don't be shy - call our office or send us an email and let us know what went wrong. Q: I live on base. Will you be able to deliver to us?

A: We can deliver if you live on Elmendorf, but not in
Fort Richardson due to time constraint.  We will deliver only to the gate.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: Mr. Butler accepts MasterCard, Visa,  and Discover. NO checks are accepted. 

We reserve the right to require pre-payment on any and all orders. 

Q: How do I cancel an order? 

A:Please call 529-8569 as soon as possible. ALL sales are final for cancellation requests made less than 2 hours prior to the delivery time. If a restaurant has already begun to prepare your food, you will be charged for the order. 

Q: Do you deliver alcoholic beverages or tobacco?

A: No. To transport alcoholic beverages and tobacco you have to be a regulated common or contract carrier. It is prohibited for a third party to purchase and deliver alcoholic beverages and tobacco in the state of
Alaska.
